RE:     CIAA Director Position - Representing CIAA Member Firms with less than 50 Adjusters

I have been honoured and privileged to represent you, the “under 50” member firms for the last four years.

It has been a very rewarding experience, however I now feel it is time to "pass the torch" and offer the opportunity to another of my esteemed colleagues within the CIAA fraternity.  Please give serious consideration to putting your name forward to represent your peers on the CIAA National Executive.

The wording of the Constitution is as follows:

Ø      Member Firms with less than 50 individual members shall have the right to appoint collectively one Executive Committee Member.

The wording is identical to the wording allowing National Firms to appoint a Director and the appointed person has full voting privileges.

Members may put their own name forward or nominate someone who is willing to let their name stand and who you feel would best represent your interests.

Candidates are asked to respond to Pat Battle at National Office by e-mail pbattle@ciaa-adjusters.ca by Monday, June 7, 2010.

A slate of the nominees will then be presented to each member firm allowing for one vote per firm.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you in the capacity of your CIAA Director.  This e-mail is being sent to Principals only - please forward to those adjusters on staff who may find this opportunity of interest.  I highly recommend the experience and would be pleased to answer any questions regarding the position.

Sincerely,
